Programme Overview

The Diploma in Quranic Recitation is a structured one-year academic programme developed to provide students with the essential knowledge required to approach the Divine Word of Allah through recitation. The programme focuses on imparting knowledge of the Arabic alphabet in terms of pronunciation and articulation whilst also detailing the principles of Tajwid. By completing the programme, students will be able to recite the Noble Quran with ease and accuracy.

Programme Outcomes

Develop a well-rounded understanding of the Arabic alphabet, its articulation and the principles of tajwid.

Provide students with the requisite knowledge to recite the Quran eloquently whilst applying the principles of tajwid.

Equip students with the skills to recite the Quran with ease and accuracy.

Programme Structure

In accordance with the academic calendar, the programme is structured into three terms.

Term 1 - September to December,

Term 2 - January to Ramadan,

Term 3 - Post-Ramadan until July.

In addition to teaching hours, students are recommended to allocate 2/3 hours a week for preparation and revision.

Entry Requirements

The entry requirements for this programme are as follows:

  • All applicants must be over the age of 12;

  • All applicants must have a good understanding of the English language;

  • All applicants must be dedicated and committed to the programme’s aims.

Fees and Finance
